New Delhi : Jubilant Organosys co-chairman and managing director Hari S Bhartia was on Wednesday elected as president of apex business chamber Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2010-11.

Bhartia succeeds Venu Srinivasan of TVS Motors. B Muthuraman, V-C of Tata Steel, has been elected vice-president of the chamber, a CII statement said.

Bhartia, an IIT chemical engineering graduate, was conferred the distinguished alumni award by the IIT, Delhi.
